This special tool allows the easy fitment of the inner synchro into the outer without losing any of the balls and springs. This has always been a pain of a job and requires 4 hands!!
With this tool, you simply place the springs and balls in place, then push the inner into the outer. The springs compress as you push down. Simple!
Unlike the old “twist” type tool, this tool pushes the balls all the way into their housing and thus there is no resistance when it goes into the outer hub. The old tool only located the balls halfway.
